In its third year as one of the premier collegiate golf events in the country the Golf Channel wanted a promotional strategy to help drive awareness and attendance to the East Lake Cup. Synertia created a multi-channel engagement plan that focused on Social Media, Event Marketing, Traditional and Non-Traditional PR, Grassroots marketing with alumni groups of the participating schools, and key event activations that reached thousands of potential attendees.
A comprehensive ticket giveaway strategy concentrated on Alumni football viewing parties, Atlanta sports business and hospitality members, PGA tournament ticket buyers, volunteers, and a hyper grass roots effort in and around East Lake and Metro Atlanta. Synertia executed a 2 day event activation featuring a fun interactive putting contest and premium and ticket giveaways at the Taste of Atlanta as well as a nighttime promotion on “The Roof” of Ponce City Market.
The East Lake Cup featured four (4) of the top men’s and women’s collegiate golf teams competing in a 3-day match-play competition and was broadcast live on Golf Channel October 30 to November 1, 2017.
